NB Power Transmission is regulated by a form of cost-based regulation that allows a rate of return with an incentive for efficiency improvements.
The open access transmission tariff (OATT), in effect since September 30, 2003, establishes non-discriminatory access to generators and consumers, and provides revenues to operate and maintain the system.
